Story Environmental Inc. provides a variety of services regarding waste management.

Waste studies and audits:

• Review historical documentation;
• Conduct assessment(s) to determine current volume of waste within landfill;
• Review and evaluate current and past waste practices;
• Determine the rate of existing waste generation, landfill capacity and diversion rates;
• Review of operation procedures (compaction methods, landfilling methods, documentation, etc.);
• Develop best management practices.

Review, Design and Implementation of Solid Waste Master and Design and Operation Plans for Municipalities and Industry:

• Modify / write operations manuals and implement new operational procedures;
• Implement self-auditing processes;
• Design and implement waste tracking systems;
• Design and implement new compaction strategies to maximize landfill capacity;
• Evaluate new and innovative compaction strategies to increase capacity; and
• Evaluate new and innovative waste diversion and potential markets for materials.

Ensure that landfills are operating within their Environmental Compliance Approval ("ECA") with the Ministry of the Environment:

• Collection of groundwater and surface water samples according to our Standard Operating Procedures;
• Conduct topographic surveys of landfills for volumetric analysis;
• Prepare and submit annual reports to ensure compliance with the ECA;
• Preparation of Trigger Mechanism and Contingency Plans;
• Definition of Contaminant Attenuation Zones;
• Preparation of Closure Plans; and
• Design of landfill caps including use of vegetative covers.

Story Environmental Inc. can also undertake landfill Expansion Projects when landfills are nearing their 40,000 cubic metres capacity.
