OCWA's Operational Training Program

OCWA staff are highly skilled and specialized in meeting the demands of Ontario’s water and wastewater sector. From small well systems and lagoons to large water and wastewater systems serving millions, OCWA's operational staff are licensed and cross-trained across all levels of certification. We actively promote training for staff to advance their skills, attain additional certification and continually enhance the quality of their work.
 
OCWA’s water and wastewater courses are open to all operators across Ontario. For more information on OCWA's Operational Training Program, including course descriptions. Full calendar of 2013 training courses coming soon.
 
Please note that the cost of training is $300/day per person, which can be paid via VISA or Mastercard. Please fill out the Client Credit Card Payment Authorization and Processing form to complete the payment process.

From curriculum development to delivery of courses, OCWA's combination of adult education professionals and experienced water operators can assist in meeting your specific training needs. Provincially-Mandated Training Cources
 
In 2005/2006 the Province introduced two mandatory Ministry developed courses, Entry-Level Drinking Water Operator Course and the Mandatory Certificate Renewal Course for all Operators in Ontario. OCWA was the exclusive Trainer for the Province’s mandatory training courses.

In this role, you will provide skilled journey-level services and support in the maintenance and repair/replacement of sophisticated and complex utility electrical equipment’, controls and systems and to maintain all related process controls in the operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities and required projects within the Kawartha Trent Region.

In this role, you will provide administrative assistance support in all activities required for the South Peel Region.
