Surface Diamond Drilling

Operations

Jul 23, 2012

Black Hawk Drilling Ltd. specializes in diamond core drilling for surface mining exploration and control bore holes.

Diamond core drilling utilizes an annular drill bit with an industrial-grade diamond crown to cut a cylindrical core from solid rock. This core sample is extracted and analyzed to provide the mine/exploration operator with information about the mineral deposit. Diamond drilling is required for each stage of mining operations: exploration, development and production.

Since its founding Black Hawk has professionally conducted a vast number of surface drilling campaigns in Canada and has also successfully taken charge of several international projects, namely in Mexico and South America. The experience we have acquired has enabled us to develop expertise in several types of terrain including high mountainous areas, deserts, jungles and permafrost.

We have been performing diamond core drilling in holes as deep as 1,400 metres.

Innovative approaches and the use of state-of-the-art equipment in combination with our team’s constructive approach makes all the difference.
