About Our Editor: Nathan Medcalf

May 24, 2014
Nathan Medcalf started as editor of Equipment Journal in December of 2006. He is creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated. He brings over 10-years-experience as a journalist and editor. He has written and edited for In Business Windsor, Mayday magazine, the Brock Press, the Hamilton Spectator, and more.

Here are some tips for submitting press releases:
• Make sure the subject is clearly indicated and is relevant to a heavy equipment newspaper.
• Ensure submissions are submitted at an appropriate time. (If a submission is timely, it should be submitted one month in advance of that date.) Please check our editorial and publishing calendars (available in our media kit) for more information.
• Submissions should be 500-1500 words, except for announcements and events, which should be shorter.
• Electronic submissions are preferred to mailed submissions.

We publish product news, industry events and trends, provincial industry news, company profiles, and announcements regarding people in the industry. We do not publish testimonials or advertorials. We do accept unsolicited freelance submissions.
