CBO provides logistics support and facilities maintenance services at Land Force Central Area Training Centre Meaford. Although primarily dedicated to Army infantry training, Meaford offers a wide range of facilities for the Canadian Forces, allied forces, and police services
Weapons & Equipment Maintenance
CBO maintains towed howitzers and portable infantry weapons such as mortars, rocket launchers, grenade launchers, machine guns, rifles and pistols.
Facilities / Infrastructure Maintenace
CBO manages and maintains 40 fully-serviced buildings, and 100+ unserviced minor buildings and misc range structures.
Food Services, Accomodations, Houdekeeping
Approximately 250,000 meals are served annually. Accommodations include barracks, individual staff quarters, Weather haven shelters, tents and bivouac areas for up to 2000 beds.
Transportation/ Roads & Grounds
Fleet management and transportation services for approximately 350 military/commercial vehicles. CBO also provides landscaping, vegetation control and snow removal services for all roads, parking lots and training ranges.
Information Systems Maintenace
Information Systems network management and maintenance services coordinated through a central Help Desk, for the LFCA TC Defence Wide Area Network and General Purpose Network (open internet).
Vechicle Maintenace
CBO maintains Standard Military Pattern vehicles, heavy equipment, commercial vehicles and specialty items such as ATVs, boats and snowmobiles. We also provide 24/7 recovery and repair services.
