Condition Monitoring NDE

Dec 14, 2015

Global Inspections is pleased to announce its new Vibration Monitoring Program. This new program revolutionizes the condition based vibration monitoring in mobile mining equipment. The program uses familiar windows interface, with the standard network protocol. It is a vibration analyzer which incorporates and takes advantage of true 21st century components and technologies.

We are committed to design, development and use of portable vibration monitoring instrumentation. The program is designed for simplicity of use in database setup, data collection, analysis and reporting. All that is needed is your knowledge of your machines. The program was designed and built by engineers with over 35 years of experience in vibration monitoring on mining equipment and understand what is required in a condition-based monitoring asset.

FEATURES

• Up to 28 channels of simultaneous vibration data acquisition
• Up to 5 channels of triggering to ensure repeatable vibration data
• Windows embedded Standard 7
• Ruggedized for the mining industry
• Specifically designed for mobile, variable speed mining machinery
• Network transmission of collected data to central vibration database
• Only transmits data when requested by the server
• Designed to run "headless" no monitor or keyboard required
• Accessible as a network asset through remote desktop
• Data collection strategies based on trigger condition being precisely matched
• Global control boxes are installed to monitor a specific component during its time of motion
• Tolerates unstable network communications
• All required data to complete post vibration analysis is collected and stored
• Data-sets are uploaded to Global’s X-Plorer software for analysis, trending and reporting

BENEFITS TO OUR MONITORING SYSTEM

• Unattended data collection
• Data files are stored locally until requested by the network server to transmit
• Reduces unscheduled downtime of the machines
• Allows detection of bearing and gear defects on variable speed machines
• Allows vibration data collection to occur during normal operations, eliminating downtime
• Immediate alarm notification transmitted through the mine operation network
• Vibration data can be moved to the database, based on time or alarm
• Store all vibration data into the same database for trending, analysis and reporting
• Currently being used in the Wyoming Coal Basin on Draglines
