Expedition Helicopters

About Company

Expedition Helicopters Inc. has been growing steadily since we first began operations in May of 1999. With our main base located in Cochrane, Ontario and satellite offices in Moosonee, Ontario and Roquemaure, Quebec, we currently operate a fleet of seven aircraft.

We attribute our success to the background knowledge and expertise of the management team and skilled staff, who possess over 40 years combined experience in the helicopter industry. As a growing company, we strive to be flexible and diverse to meet the increasing demand for helicopters and expediting services in the North and across Canada.

We're more than just a helicopter company. We've become the  helicopter services company prefered by clients who need an all-inclusive mining or forestry expedition experience.

Expedition Service & Logistics is a division of Expedition Helicopters Inc. which was founded in May of 1999.

Our camp division has evolved and is now successfully providing complete turn-key camp set-ups, rentals and logistics to the mining and forestry industry across Canada.

The concept for the camp rental division came about during the late 90s, and by the turn of the millennium it was quite apparent that the mining/exploration industry was moving ahead at full speed. With this increase in activity, we suddenly found our helicopter fleet supporting numerous mining and exploration projects throughout the North.

As the projects continued to grow in size and numbers, we witnessed struggles with project logistics and camp installations; we came to the realization that there was a requirement to provide our clients with a more diversified and greater level of service.

After speaking with clients and evaluating our own experiences in dealing with such projects, it did not take long to recognize the challenges that these industries were faced with when required to accommodate field crews for extensive periods of time in remote areas throughout Canada.

Being an experienced bush operator and directly affected by these issues, we felt that it was a good opportunity to take on the challenge.
