Caring for our communities

Our people are passionate about the communities in which they work. That's why we invest our time, knowledge and resources to help improve communities across the globe.

Golder Trust for Orphans

As part of our commitment to sustainability, our employees formed the Golder Trust for Orphans in 2003 to provide support to children and families in Africa who have been orphaned or displaced by the AIDS pandemic.

The Trust provides funding to groups engaged in sustainable projects, to permanently support their charitable work. We also provide one-time grants to organizations looking for immediate aid.

To date, our efforts are supporting over 2,500 children in Africa.

Our history of progress

Our origin 50+ years ago and evolution since then have made us the company we are today. Take a look at our rich and colorful history.

We have a rich history, and a bright future.
Golder started in 1960 in Canada with the lofty ambition of being a modestly successful, high-quality, “niche” market company focused on ground engineering.

Through the early 1970s, we established operations in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia while doing project work around the world. Today we have over 165 offices in six continents, offering expanded services in environmental planning, design, and ground engineering that address the growing needs of our clients for our specialized expertise.

It has taken bold leadership and countless contributions from people around the world to become the company we are today. We’re proud of where we’ve been. And we’re excited by where we’re going next.
