Lakehead Ironworks Inc. was founded by Josef Quast in 1976. In 1990 the business was taken over by his son Uwe Quast, who is still President of the Company. Over the years, Lakehead Ironworks has grown from a 2,500 square foot shop to a 29,000 square foot, state of the art fabrication facility and now carries 1,000 tons of Steel Inventory.

 

We’ve got you covered with our strong ability to custom fabricate your project to your specifications, in house or on site. Structural Steel, stairs, railings, open web steel joists, decking, house beams, custom weldments, installation of bridge girders and pre-engineered structures, repairs to dump boxes, buckets and other heavy industrial equipment components.  Now carrying 1,000 tons of steel inventory.  Whatever your needs, you’re in good hands.
