TS Manufacturing

About Us

TS Manufacturing is proud to be a family owned & operated manufacturer devoted to the global supply of custom manufactured, quality equipment.

Company Vision

Ted Smith is one of the founding brothers of
TS Manufacturing in Lindsay, Ontario.

Over 35 years ago, two brothers set out with a vision. Their goal was to create a dynamic 'one-stop shop' manufacturer of quality equipment for the forest products industry. Starting small, they opened their first manufacturing center in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada in 1973. Finding the market for log, lumber and residual material handling to be more than the small facility could handle, they purchased an adjoining building in 1976.

As their list of satisfied customers grew, so did their need for more manufacturing space. In 1988 they completed the construction of their current location. Remaining in Lindsay, Ontario they built the plant with over 50,000 sq. ft. of fabrication space. This purpose-built facility was exactly what they needed to properly service their customers. In 2002, with an ever expanding product and customer list, it was time to grow again, adding over 15,000 sq. ft. of additional production space to the plant. Now sitting with over 65,000 sq. ft. of production capacity, TS Manufacturing had the space, product mix and experience to handle nearly any project.

Company Expansion

Throughout the expansion of the facility, TS was also busy expanding the number of industries it served. Being located in a prime mining and aggregate area, (Ontario), the combination of location and experience made it an ideal industry to serve. Additionally, the experience in wood residue handling allowed TS to provide skilled services in the co-generation, biomass, pulp & paper and boardplant industries. The proximity of Lindsay to the 'manufacturing heartland' of Ontario - the Greater Toronto Area - put the precise and expert services of its engineering and fabrication departments in high demand.

With the growth, expansion and three sons active in the business, Ted and Ev Smith purchased the remaining shares to make it a truly family operation. Combining the active involvement of family with the commitment to detail and quality that TS is known for, the company looks forward to new global challenges and opportunities.
