Company

The Company consists of two divisions at the New Liskeard plant. The Foundry Division focuses on the design and manufacture of iron and steel castings. The Mine Equipment Division focuses on the design and manufacture of material handling equipment for Mining and other Material Handling industries.

 

Foundry Division

Wabi’s Foundry facility is capable of providing castings ranging in weight from 5 to 8,000lbs in over 100 alloys including chrome iron, ni-hard, grey iron, steel, alloy steel and stainless steel. The diversified product range includes wear, impact, heat and corrosion resistant parts and components for smelters, mills, chutes, slurry pumps and crushers for the mining, steel, construction, cement and forestry industries. In addition, a comprehensive Foundry Engineering and Design Department is available for custom or OEM manufacturing requirements. All foundry engineering and manufacturing activities are registered under ISO 9001:2008.

 

Mine Equipment Division

The Mine Equipment Division custom designs and manufactures a wide range of equipment for the Mining and other Aggregate Handling industries. Typical applications include skips/cages, hoppers, inline chutes, and other various engineered and fabricated products. Wabi manufactures a wide variety of underground conveyances and loading systems that are utilized in mines in North America and around the world. The company fabricates products in steel, stainless steel and aluminum that are custom designed to individual customer specifications. Wabi has a fully APEO certified (Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario) Engineering Department that is capable of designing all types of fabricated products. In addition to the Engineering and Fabrication capabilities, Wabi also has a full service Machine Shop that is equipped to offer a complete range of machining services. All engineering and fabrication activities are registered under ISO 9001:2008.
