Summary

As an Inside Sales & Administration Representative for our mining technology (hardware and software) company, you will be playing a duel roll. While becoming a member of a strategic sales and marketing team with the goal of educating, servicing and supporting our existing clients and resellers to ensure they have what they need, when they need it, you will also be handling the office administration and making sure our small teams are supported and organized.

Primary responsibilities

• General office requirements including answering phones for MineTracker client inquiries and general calls (low call volume), order • processing, quoting and invoicing.
• Maintain inventory, product, customer and cost information in QuickBooks (light data entry)
• Prepare presentations, quotes, proposals, sales contracts and support other teams with similar documentation
• Support existing customers or resellers who may call in with orders / requirements
• Plan and execute calls and action items for existing and new clients
• Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity and track completion.
• Coordinate sales efforts/initiatives with marketing, sales management and other FLS technical services.
• Identify sales prospects where feasible and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
• Identify and resolve client concerns with assistance of support team.
• Coordinate with company managers and staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
• Responds to all inquiries, cancellation requests, and sales requests within specified timeframe (SLAs).
• Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
• Assist in the management and consistent usage of sales tools, inventory tools and CRMs, etc.
• Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
• Development and maintenance of sales materials and current product knowledge.
• Assist with coordination of shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services for your accounts where applicable.
• Tracks sales statistics.
• Other duties as assigned or as volunteered.
• Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
• Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, presentations.
• Provide support/training for the team and new employees where possible.
• Manage a portfolio of internal (existing) sales accounts – Establish and maintain business sales relationships with current clients (80%), resellers (20%).
• Present/Demonstrate and sell company products and services (existing and new) to the portfolio.


Qualifications / Skill Requirements

• Experienced in office administration, accounts, phones.
• Acumen for discussing client requirements and providing solutions.
• Interest and ability to learn, understand and then educate others on communications and tracking systems for mining industry.
• Able to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with technology (tools and applications).
• Experience and/or knowledge of technical sales an asset but not required.
• Strong reading, writing, verbal and math skills required.
• Strong propensity to action on issues immediately – call instead of email, drive to location for in-person meetings where feasible, avoid procrastination etc.
• Ability to persuade and influence others.
• Ability to ask questions.
• Ability to learn about new concepts, products, technology, and to deliver new knowledge quickly.
• Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials (with editorial support).
• Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
• Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
• Work requires significant travel to current and potential clients (20%).
• Requires the possession of a valid driver’s license, own vehicle.
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.


Working Conditions

Working conditions are normal for an office environment (fast paced etc). Work requires travel for sales / marketing purposes as needed (10%) and requires overnight travel with rare weekends and/or evenings for events,
sales, training or trade shows.


Pay/Compensation

Compensation: based on experience / aptitude
Probationary period (3 months): Base salary
Employee status: Base salary with benefits package (including life, dental and eye care)

Inside Sales & Administration Representative

Sales Account Representative
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires significant travel (50%), requires overnight travel with occasional weekends and/or evenings.
