Video Recording

Jul 24, 2014
When choosing a video recording solution several questions should be asked:
• Who is my target audience and what will they be using to watch my video?
• Do I need to store a master uncompressed video file for future editing or distribution?
• How much time can I invest into publishing video content?
• Do I have technical staff/volunteers that will be able to run post-production video software and equipment?
1. If you have the proper personnel in place, computer based hard-drive recording is a great solution that offers infinite possibilities and great expandability down the road.
2. If you have limited qualified personnel, solid state recording or DVD recording are more appropriate options.

Solid State Recording
Solid State Recording is best suited for facilities where the presentation needs to be recorded and transported easily.

DVD Recording
DVD Recording is best suited for facilities that require a hard-copy after every recording.

Computer or Hard-Drive Based Recording
Computer or Hard-Drive based recording is best suited for facilities that have computers and staff/volunteers that are trained in video post-production video.
