American Petroleum Institute's Industry Innovation Award - 2013
 
The Blue Buttes landfill is the recipient of the American Petroleum Institute's Industry Innovation Award. The Williston Basin chapter of the American Petroleum Institute presented Tervita with the award, which recognizes significant achievement for advancements in technology, systems, processes and the application thereof in the oil and gas industry in the Williston Basin. Tervita received the award for its stakeholder management during the development of the Blue Buttes landfill.

 
Alberta Oil Magazine Top Energy Services Company - 2013
 
Tervita has been awarded the number one spot on Alberta Oil Magazine’s “The 100 + Energy Service 50” list​. The list recognizes the top-performing oil and gas and energy services companies in Canada. This is the second year Alberta Oil has recognized energy service companies in their June issue. ​

 
Oilweek Magazine Supplier of the Year - 2012
 
Oilweek Magazine's Supplier of the Year award was bestowed upon Tervita for its innovative leadership and excellence in the Canadian energy service and supply industry. The annual award was determined by an online poll among five services companies selected by Oilweek’s editorial team. After a week of voting, Tervita received more than 5,400 votes, representing 62 per cent of the vote.

 
Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors' (CAODC) - 2011
 
The 32nd annual Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors' (CAODC) Service Rig Safety Awards were held at the end of April in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. More than 130 production services employees and 60 rig crews from Tervita have received awards for demonstrating exceptional safety on the job, working 200 operating days without a recordable injury. Twenty-one rig managers each had 400 days without an incident, which earned two awards CAODC awards this year. More than 75 per cent of our 96 rig managers won an award and, of the 62 rigs they ran this year, 60 also won awards.

The City of Burnaby
The City of Burnaby contracted Tervita in 2009 to conduct a major dredging and sediment removal project. Our efforts, which involved two years and the removal of garbage, debris, sands, silts, clays and decomposed organic material from Burnaby Lake, helped successfully restore and preserve this unique urban lake ecosystem. The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. (APEGBC) recognized the project with their coveted 2011 Environmental Award for Design and Construction.

 
Shell Canada DAR Safety Recognition - 2011
 
380 Days Incident Free
Shell Canada Limited recognized Tervita and our Health, Safety and Environment and Operations performance throughout 2011 and adherence to the GOAL ZERO initiative in all field and office activity. A zero-incident year in which there were no recordable safety incidents is a major accomplishment, and reflects the priority Tervita places on working safely.
