We currently employ about 3,700 private security professionals.
 

We are contracted at about 500 sites, which include municipal, provincial and federal government buildings; high-tech, industrial and commercial office facilities; international and local airports; hospitals, embassies and public buildings; schools and shopping centres; law enforcement agencies; and, military compounds.
 

The company has more than doubled in size since 2006. This is in response to unprecedented demand for our brand of services – mostly from existing clients who are requesting more guards, new services or specialized services, as well as from an increasing number of private sector clients.
 

Commissionaires Ottawa has, by far, the most stable workforce in the private security industry. Our not-for-profit structure enables us to attract and retain some of the best employees in the industry, as attested by our low, industry-leading 85% retention rate.
 

We screen, test, train and equip security-focused individuals of all ages and from all walks of life. All of our commissionaires are cleared to "Secret" level or higher. They are fully licensed and are trained to exceed provincial standards.
