Warranty

Every Makita power tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory. Warranties regarding defects from workmanship and materials vary depending on the product and/or product series.

Part 1: All Makita tools are warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of original purchase.

 

Part 2:All Makita cordless tools powered by lithium ion batteries are warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a period of THREE YEARS from the date of original purchase.  Some accessories included with lithium ion products have a ONE YEAR warranty.  These accessories are batteries, battery chargers, flashlights and job site radios.

 

Should any problem develop during the specified warranty period shown in part one or part two above.

 

Return the complete product (freight prepaid) to one of Makita’s Factory or Authorized Service Centres in Canada.  If a qualified inspection shows the problem is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita may choose to repair and/or replace the product in question.

 

This warranty does not apply where:

• Repairs to the product have been made or attempted by others
• Repairs to the product are required because of normal wear and tear
• The product has been abused, misused or improperly maintained
• Alterations have been made to the product
 

In no event shall Makita be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages from the sale or use of the product.  This disclaimer applies both during and after the term of this warranty.  Makita disclaims liability for any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a specific purpose, after the applicable term of this warranty.
 

This warranty provides for specific legal rights.  The provisions contained in this warranty are not intended to limit, modify or take away from, disclaim or exclude any warranties set forth in any legislation.  To the extent required by law, the provisions in any provincial or federal legislation with respect to warranties take precedence over the provisions of this warranty.

Service Centre Assistant – Burnaby, BC

As an Assistant in our Factory Service Centre you are responsible for the front counter customer service including; sales of accessories and parts, answering customer inquiries, receiving power tools for repair, providing information to customers concerning the diagnosis, cost estimates (as required) and shipping various Makita power tools and equipment. 

Service Center Assistant – QC x 2

As an Assistant in our Factory Service Centre you are responsible for the front counter customer service including; sales of accessories and parts, answering customer inquiries, receiving power tools for repair, providing information to customers concerning the diagnosis, cost estimates (as required) and shipping various Makita power tools and equipment. 

Manager in Training (Factory Service Centre) - Burnaby, BC

As a Factory Service Centre Manager-in-Training, you are responsible for supporting the manager with the daily operations and managing the Factory Service Centre in the absence of the Manger. 

Service Technician – Les Saules

You are responsible for assisting customers with repairs of our products/equipment, including electric (both AC & DC), pneumatic and gasoline-powered tools, supporting the sale of accessories, and parts, as well as answering general product questions.

Service Technician – St Leonard

You are responsible for assisting customers with repairs of our products/equipment, including electric (both AC & DC), pneumatic and gasoline-powered tools, supporting the sale of accessories, and parts, as well as answering general product questions.

Senior Manager, Information Technology

The Sr Manager IT will report directly to the Assistant General Manager and will be responsible for managing the department, technology planning, information systems and infrastructure, IT and information security. 

IT Support Technician

The IT Support Technician will provide remote and onsite user support for electronic devices such as laptops/desktops, mobile devices, video conferencing equipment, and printers. 

Field Product Specialist – Outdoor Power Equipment (BC & ON)

The Field Product Specialist is responsible the development of sales through building relationships with end users, organizing and delivering practical demonstrations, and educating end users about our products through their extensive product knowledge.
