Safety Program

Jan 16, 2014

Phoenix Industrial
supports the philosophy that health and safety is vitally important to a successful business. We are fully dedicated to our Health and Safety Program, which protects all its resources, including employees, subcontractors, clients, site visitors, physical assets, property and the environment of the work site.

Phoenix Industrial is COR certified through the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA). All New Hires, Subcontractors and Visitors receive the Phoenix orientation if they are on any site for more than one day. We also offer many in house training seminars and programs through certified trainers.

There are many aspects to the Phoenix Industrial Safety Program, including:
• A Pre-Job Hazard Assessment of the work site is performed before the workers begin on site
• Task Hazard Assessment (THA): all workers or crews must fill out a THA before starting their work
• Tool-box talks are held every morning with all the employees before they start their day
• Weekly Safety Meetings enhanced with guest speakers
• Management inspects the site daily
• Employee observation based program reporting good and bad sightings
• Near Miss, Loss Time and Accident reporting is done on a daily basis to provide management with the necessary information in preventing any further issues which could pose a threat or danger to those involved
